Community Association
Law
Community Associations
include condominium, homeowners, cooperative time-share, and mobile home
associations. Handling matters relating to community associations requires
an attorney to be knowledgeable about the various statutes and other
governing laws affecting operation of the associations including
administrative laws and procedures, real property laws, and corporate laws
and procedures. It additionally requires analysis and interpretation of
the association's documents in the light of of these laws and legal
principles established by applicable court decisions. A community
association attorney must also have skills which enable successful
interactions with people, and in the handling of association board and
members' meetings.
